Hand block printed cotton suit sets in Sanganeri, Bagru and Dabu prints, made in Jaipur’s block-print belt and sold wholesale to boutiques, shops and resellers. Rates from ₹570 per set, MOQ 15–20 sets, GST bill on every order.

Quick answer: House of Sonesh supplies hand block print suit material wholesale from Sanganer, Jaipur. Our unstitched 3-piece sets come in Sanganeri, Bagru and Dabu hand block prints. Sanganeri sets start at ₹570, Bagru at ₹630 per set (cotton with mulmul dupatta). MOQ is 15–20 sets, every order has a GST bill, and ready stock ships across India within 24–48 hours of payment.
All three are hand block prints from villages around Jaipur, and all three are printed by hand with carved wooden blocks. They look very different on the rack, and they sell to different customers. Here is the short version our team gives buyers on WhatsApp.
| Look | Colours | Sells best to | Wholesale rate | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sanganeri | Fine florals, buttis and delicate outlines on a light or white ground | Pinks, blues, greens, soft pastels | Daily wear, office, college, boutique summer racks | ₹570–₹670 / set |
| Bagru | Bolder geometric and floral motifs on darker or off-white grounds | Earthy red, black, mustard, indigo | Ethnic and handloom-loving buyers, premium resellers | ₹630–₹730 / set |
| Dabu | Mud-resist print with soft, slightly cracked outlines | Indigo, kashish grey-brown, madder red | Indigo lovers, boutiques, gifting | On request |
Rates are for cotton suit sets with mulmul dupatta, per set, GST extra. Kota Doria and chiffon dupatta versions cost more. Rates updated October 2026.
Sanganeri prints come from Sanganer, on the southern edge of Jaipur, where our unit is. They are known for fine floral motifs, small buttis and thin, precise outlines on light grounds. The look is soft and fresh, which is why Sanganeri suits are the easiest block print to sell for daily and office wear.
Our Sanganeri block print suit sets pair a printed cotton kurta and bottom with a soft mulmul or Kota Doria dupatta. Buyers often ask for them as “3pc Sanganeri block printed cotton suit material set”. That is exactly what we sell, in wholesale quantities.

Bagru is a printing village about 30 km from Jaipur. Its prints use bolder motifs and an earthy palette of red, black, mustard and indigo, traditionally made with dyes from natural sources. Bagru suits look rich and handmade, and they sell well to buyers who want an ethnic, handloom feel.
Our Bagru print cotton suits come as unstitched 3-piece sets, mostly with mulmul dupattas. They cost a little more than Sanganeri because the printing and dyeing take longer.

Dabu is a mud-resist technique. A paste of clay, gum and other natural materials is hand-stamped onto the fabric with wooden blocks and dusted with sawdust. The fabric then goes into the dye vat. Wherever the mud sat, the dye cannot reach, which gives Dabu its soft, slightly cracked outlines.
Dabu is usually dyed in indigo, kashish (a grey-brown) or madder red. Because the mud must dry in the sun and the fabric is dipped several times, a Dabu lot takes about 20 to 45 days and pauses in heavy monsoon. Plan Dabu orders earlier than Sanganeri or Bagru.
See how we run Dabu for brands on our Dabu printing job work page.
Much of the “block print” sold online is screen printed or digitally printed to look handmade. That is fine at the right price, but you should know what you are paying for. Check these five things on any sample, including ours.
| Check | Hand block print | Screen print | Digital print |
|---|---|---|---|
| Back of the fabric | Colour shows through clearly | Lighter, partly through | Often pale or white |
| Repeat of the motif | Tiny shifts and joins between block impressions | Perfectly even | Perfectly even |
| Outline and colour fill | Slight overlaps or gaps where colours meet | Clean and exact | Pixel-sharp |
| Colour depth | Small variations in shade across the piece | Uniform | Uniform |
| Feel | Fabric stays soft; dye sits in the fibre | Ink can feel slightly raised | Smooth, sometimes flat |
These small irregularities are the signature of hand work, not defects. Tell your customers that, and they will value the piece more.
Rates per unstitched 3-piece set. The starting order is the MOQ multiplied by the starting rate.

Our Sanganeri hand block print cotton suit sets start at ₹570 per set and Bagru sets at ₹630, both with mulmul dupatta. Block printed Kota Doria sets start at ₹700 and Chanderi at ₹800. Dabu rates are shared on request. GST is extra.
Hand block print is stamped by hand with wooden blocks, so you see small shifts in the repeat, colour showing through on the back, and slight overlaps where colours meet. Screen print uses a mesh screen and looks perfectly even. See the comparison table on this page.
Sanganeri uses fine florals on light grounds in softer colours. Bagru uses bolder motifs on darker or off-white grounds in earthy reds, black and indigo. Our Sanganeri vs Bagru guide explains it in detail.
Dabu is a mud-resist print. A mud paste is stamped on the fabric with blocks, dried, and the fabric is then dyed, usually in indigo. The mud blocks the dye, which leaves soft, cracked outlines.
Some colour bleed in the first wash is normal for hand block prints, especially dark and indigo shades. Wash separately in cold water with mild detergent and dry in shade. Full steps are in our hand block print care guide.
15–20 sets per order, depending on the range. Cotton sets with mulmul or Kota Doria dupatta start at 20 sets; full Kota Doria and Chanderi start at 15.
